Kenny Miller Calls Celtic Fans “Spoiled”

Kenny Miller has weighed in on the current mood among Celtic supporters, suggesting that years of success under Brendan Rodgers have led to fans becoming “spoiled”.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Miller pointed out that despite Celtic leading the Premiership table, the narrow margin over Rangers and their game in hand has left some fans feeling uneasy.

Miller expressed his view that Celtic supporters might need to adjust their expectations in light of the genuine title challenge posed by Rangers under Philippe Clement.

“I do think Celtic fans have been spoiled over the years for the success of league titles, cups, trebles,” Miller claimed. “Now they’ve got a real challenge and they need to live up to that, stand up to it and try to continue to deliver success.”

“They’ve now got a rival with a man in charge that are chasing them but there is that siege mentality you feel Brendan might be trying to create. But it has come from within.

“In Glasgow, there normally is someone getting it in the neck and someone being praised. Even though results suggest Celtic have been doing well, they’ve been on the receiving end of the negative side of the Glasgow at the moment.”

It’s just how it is in Glasgow, both sets of supporters expect their teams to go and win the league as well as pick up the cups on the way.

Celtic fans have watched their team dominate in recent years, and when the Hoops had such a large lead just a few months ago, it is frustrating to see Rangers potentially pull level with their game in hand against Ross County.
