Celtic Loanee Has “Right Credentials” to Make it at Celtic

Bosun Lawal, on loan from Celtic, continues to make waves at Fleetwood Town, further solidifying his reputation as a standout player in League One.

The 20-year-old talent, who was part of Celtic’s B team, has been flourishing in a midfield role for The Cods, showcasing versatility and exceptional skill that hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Having transitioned back to midfield, a position he occupied during his time in Watford’s academy before his move to Celtic, Lawal has adapted seamlessly. His performances have been consistently impressive, culminating in a spectacular goal over the weekend that captured attention and admiration.

Fleetwood Town’s manager, Charlie Adams, didn’t hold back in his praise for Lawal, acknowledging the significant impact he has on the team.”He was the best player on the pitch. Unfortunately, he’s not our player, he’s a Celtic player, but it’s a real privilege to have him.

“He’s a quality player; he dominated the game. His strength, his power, and it was an unbelievable strike. The longer he’s in the building for us, from now until the end of the season, he will definitely make a difference to our team,” Adams said, Quoted by Glasgow Wolrd.

He continued: “He’s a top talent, but hopefully, with the journey we’re on and the support that we can give him, he goes back to Celtic next season, and he goes and competes for a position because I believe he’s got the right credentials to be a Celtic player.”

Lawal’s loan spell draws parallels with other Celtic players who have leveraged loan opportunities to bolster their careers. Notable examples include Callum McGregor’s transformative season at Notts County, Liam Scales’ time at Aberdeen, and Kris Ajer’s successful stint at Kilmarnock, which eventually led to a lucrative move to the Premier League after impressing both at Kilmarnock and Celtic. Could Lawal be about to follow in their footsteps?
