Adam Idah showed today why he is at Celtic with a vital double against Motherwell.
Despite doubts over his abilities and the apparent last-minute nature of his loan move, the Irish striker is the real deal.
Most strikers would have crumbled under the pressure of moving to Celtic at a time when the team is not playing well, but Idah has somehow thrived with his assist against Aberdeen on debut and penalty brace against Hibernian at Easter Road early indications of his character.
Today off the bench, Idah completely changed the game with his aerial threat and hold-up play, in particular, standing out.

At times, Kyogo Furuhashi is non-existent in games.
Idah on the other hand, gives Celtic a whole new dimension in playing the ball into his feet to hold up play, something that the Japanese striker isn’t as effective at.
The Irishman also works the box very well in crossing situations, both in the air and along the ground.
With Celtic badly needing a threat in the box when they cross, Idah undoubtedly gives the Hoops this.
Idah hasn’t been given as much credit as he should have, in all honesty.
Despite being out of favor at Norwich City and shipped out on loan halfway through the season without an option to buy, some players would have gone through the motions, but he certainly is not.
If he continues this form in the coming weeks, it looks highly likely that Celtic will attempt to negotiate with Norwich in the summer over a permanent move.
But at the age of only 23, he will likely prove to be a costly signing, with each goal he scores increasing Norwich’s asking price.
