Fraser Forster recently reflected on his experiences in Glasgow on That Peter Crouch Podcast.
Among the memories he shared, a particularly unique tribute stood out: a song dedicated to him by the Thai Tims, set to the tune of “Big Strong Man” by The Wolfe Tones.
Forster’s journey with Celtic is fondly remembered, marked by crucial saves that etched his name into the hearts of the fans.
Despite the high regard in which he’s held, his decision to return to England, foregoing the chance to contribute to Celtic’s historic pursuit of 10 consecutive league titles, has been a topic of mixed feelings among supporters. However, Forster’s reflections were filled with affection and respect for the club and its fans.
After being shown a video of the song by the Thai Tims on the podcast, Forster briefly spoke about it, revealing people would randomly approach him and talk about his hands like a frying pan.
He said: “They don’t just worship me! You’ll love this [the song].
“I think it was set up by a Celtic fan, and they got them fully supporting Celtic.
“The doing is amazing, I can’t believe it’s not number 1!
“The number of people who come up to me on the street and say ‘big hands like a frying pan’ just randomly.
“It’s a great song.”
Forster is still playing, currently with Ange Postecoglou at Spurs. It’s all a ‘what if’ when it comes to him leaving Celtic after that season on loan.
