Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton hit out with some significant praise for Adam Idah after he nodded the Hoops level against Motherwell on Sunday.
Brought on as a half-time sub, Brendan Rodgers put faith in the striker to turn things around for his team. Such trust was repaid by the 23-year-old who bagged a brace to ensure the three points were brought back to Glasgow’s east end.
His stoppage-time strike was crucial yet his header that made it 1-1 was hugely impressive. Left-back Greg Taylor crossed in from out wide and Idah used all of his neck muscles to rise above two opposition defenders and head into the corner.

Sutton was taken aback by such a goal. He scored a fair few of that ilk in his time and live on air on Sky Sports immediately after the Norwich loanee nodded past Liam Kelly, he came out with some high acclaim.
Praising Idah, Sutton said: “What a header this is, a towering header.
“The ball is perfect from Taylor. They have the option of doing that with Adam Idah as a central striker, (they) couldn’t feed Kyogo.
“I can’t tell you how good this header is. The direction, the power – absolutely stunning.”
