Adam Idah’s loan spell at Celtic didn’t get the fans excited initially, but his five goals in five games since his signing have got many eating their words.

Having faced challenges in establishing himself at Norwich City, his move to Celtic in January was seen as a chance to rejuvenate his career.
This resurgence has not gone unnoticed, especially by Celtic hero Chris Sutton, who has a unique perspective given his history with both Norwich and Celtic.
Sutton, reflecting on Idah’s performances, anticipates that the striker’s success in Scotland might pique the interest of clubs beyond the Britain, particularly in Italy where a number of young Irish talents have recently made their mark.
Sutton, writing in the Pink Un, highlighted the potential crossroads ahead for Idah.
“He has taken to life at Celtic like a duck to water, and that is only good news for Norwich City.
“It’s early days, but he looks like a slightly different player at Celtic. It’s not fair to say he was going through the motions at Norwich, but you always felt there was more in there to be extracted.
“If he does well at Celtic, I suspect he will want to stay. But the lack of option in the deal will keep potential other suitors interested. It wouldn’t surprise me if those Italian teams who displayed a keenness in January to do a deal returned to the table.”
The lack of a buy-out clause in his loan agreement leaves the door open for other clubs to express their interest come summer, and potentially ignite a bidding war.
The attraction of Serie A, where teams like Genoa, Verona, and Sassuolo have previously shown interest, presents an intriguing alternative for his career path.
