At the halftime break in Celtic’s Sunday clash with Livingston, a compelling banner emerged, carrying a powerful message for the team: “Hold on to our title Bhoys, don’t give up the dream.” Held aloft by members of the Green Brigade.

This display, set against the backdrop of flares and pyrotechnics from the stands, sent a clear message of support. Celtic would score all their goals after the break in a 3-0 win, an own goal to kick things off then Paulo Bernardo’s second-half strike further cemented the victory, before Matt O’Riley got in on the act.

31st March 2024; Almondvale Stadium, Livingston, Scotland: Scottish Premiership Football, Livingston versus Celtic;

This win was especially significant as it means Celtic head to Ibrox next week top of the league, Rangers securing a 3-1 victory over Hibs the day before. The call to action from the supporters was unmistakable – they wanted their team to continue the fight for the Premiership title and that’s what they managed to do in the second half.

When the bhoys came out for the second half. 🔥🍀 pic.twitter.com/C7ObHZsnce

The team’s recent performances have been buoyed by the return of key players from injuries, notably CCV and Reo Hatate, providing a significant lift. The presence of Celtic fans in three stands at Livingston, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a home game was a major plus. Next week at Ibrox, there will be zero Celtic fans in the building and the team must do it on their own.

Following his role in Celtic’s commanding 3-0 victory over Livingston, Joe Hart expressed his gratitude towards the fans o social media.

The veteran English goalkeeper not only secured a clean sheet but also played a his role in propelling the Bhoys back to the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

Post-match, Hart seemed to fully immerse himself in the celebratory mood, a poignant moment as he navigates the final run of games in his pro career.

With the season accelerating into its decisive stages, Hart, set to hang up his gloves at the season’s end, took a moment to laud the phenomenal support from the Celtic faithful, who dominated three stands with their presence and vibrancy on Sunday afternoon, encapsulating the atmosphere with his remark, “Bouncing today.”

As the calendar turns to next week’s high-stakes encounter at Ibrox, a fixture that could significantly shape the title race, Hart will be optimistic about contributing to a Celtic triumph.

Yet, an absence of Celtic supporters at Ibrox adds a layer of complexity to an already intense showdown. If the bhoys are to do it, they’re going to have to do it without the backing of our famous support.

Celtic supporters have unveiled an Easter Rising inspired banner pre-match against Livingston.

With lyrics from the song “Freedom’s Sons,” the banner read: “Born into slavery, they were freedom’s sons.”

With today’s game taking place on Easter Sunday, a number of supporters have paid recognition to the Easter Rising in Ireland, which took place from April 24th to 29th, 1916.

With Celtic’s significant historic connection to Ireland, it’s clear to see why some felt the need to mark the occasion pre-match.

https://celtsarehere.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/06819f22-41ea-4c4a-aedb-cc9f5a4d85ab.mp4

Celtic supporters have certainly been in fine voice in the first half, with the atmosphere heightened by the traveling support.

Livingston away historically marks an occasion for as many Celtic fans as possible to pack the Almondvale Stadium in West Lothian, and today has been no different so far.

In a stadium where Celtic have at times struggled over the years, they will need as much support as possible, and that is clearly what they are being given.

Celtic travel to Livingston in the Scottish Premiership tomorrow as the run-in well and truly begins. The last time the Hoops made the jaunt through to West Lothian, they came away deserved 3-0 winners, but it wasn’t without a mishap or two. Indeed, goalkeeper Joe Hart was sent off 28 minutes in. This didn’t faze his teammates, however, who put in a stellar performance to win 3-0. Daizen Maeda’s wonder goal in stoppage time pleased many, particularly Hart. He could be seen in the tunnel celebrating the strike as passionately as ever.

3rd March 2024; Tynecastle Park, Edinburgh, Scotland; Scottish Premiership Football, Hearts versus Celtic; A dejected Joe Hart of Celtic shows some passion to the fans

It was the first time the veteran stopper was ever ordered off, and he has admitted that how he celebrated was a normal way for him to act, but he was slightly surprised the cameras picked up on it. “That was naughty”, he told Glasgow Times. “There was no need for that clip. I was just watching the game and reacting how I would like to react. “I know we’re in public and people are free to do what they want. I think that was footage from the live cameras they were setting up for the interviews after. So that was a shame. “But that was Daizen scoring an absolute banger to make it three. I’d liked to have celebrated with him obviously but that’s what it was. “Of course [the fans loved it]. But it’s me. That’s how I am. That’s the truth. It’s a shame as you want to feel comfortable to express yourself in a controlled environment, but that’s modern-day life.” This weekend at Livingston, Celtic cannot afford any mishaps. Hart staying on the pitch for 90 minutes would be ideal, and fans would be greatly pleased with a similar scoreline to what their last trip to Almondvale ended. Kick-off tomorrow is at midday, and the game is live on Sky Sports.

The plastic pitch at Livingston’s Tony Macaroni Arena will impact the Celtic starting lineup this weekend, confirmed manager Brendan Rodgers yesterday. In his pre-match press conference, the gaffer gave a wealth of injury updates about some key players which were both positive and negative. Reo Hatate is fit and ready to play Livi as is Cameron Carter-Vickers. Luis Palma won’t make the game and an unexpected issue has surfaced surrounding Yang. Although captain Callum McGregor may have been fit, the boss admitted that because of the astroturf pitch, he won’t be risked. “You have to consider it [the pitch]”, said Rodgers (Glasgow Times).

Soccer Football – Scottish Cup – Quarter Final – Celtic v Livingston – Celtic Park, Glasgow, Scotland, Britain – March 10, 2024 Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers reacts REUTERS/Russell Cheyne

“With Callum, we have to think about it and it comes into the thinking, especially on the back of an international break. “We’re all hopeful in the future we’ll have quality grass pitches here and supporters will see the best possible game that they can. “But at this moment, we play on the plastic pitch, and we have to deal with it. And we think about team selection, and from Callum’s perspective, it’s too much of a risk.” At the heart of the midfield, the 30-year-old is key to Celtic. He has been missing for the past few weeks but there is a very good chance he will play at Ibrox, according to the manager. Having McGregor back in for the visit to Govan would provide the team with an almighty boost going into arguably the biggest game of their season. He is nothing short of key, particularly in the derbies, where the five-time treble-winner comes to the fore.
