The club’s administration, acknowledging the discontent expressed by these fan groups, explained the rationale behind their decision, citing safety concerns as the primary reason for not making the Jock Stein stand available for this initiative.

However, the club has said they were willing to open the standing section for the match.

A spokesperson for Celtic said: “The group were made aware that the Jock Stein would not be made available due to certain safety concerns relating to this specific area, but arrangements have been made by the Club to allow the group to attend within the Rail Seating Section.

“This has been communicated to the group and the Club hopes that as many supporters and supporter groups as possible come along to support Celtic FC Women at the upcoming Celtic Park matches, as well as all other matches.”

The Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic have said they will not be in attendance at the match anymore after they were denied access to the Jock Stien stand to create The Celtic End.

It’s a shame for the Ghirls. The Celtic End was a huge success last year, and it drew a large crown to Celtic Park fo the women’s matches, creating a great atmosphere.

Celtic Park was electrified last night, offering fans an exhilarating display of football that will be remembered for a long time.

The atmosphere was electric, with the buzz of anticipation turning into roars of approval as Celtic delivered a masterclass, netting seven goals, six of which came before the halftime whistle.

This wasn’t just a win; it was a statement of intent from the players who are chasing a league title.

A different brand of football was on show, a style of play that deviated from the more cautious, possession-based approach often associated with Brendan Rodgers. Instead, fans were treated to a spectacle of free-flowing, attacking football.

Among the many memorable moments from the night, one particularly stood out.

As the game neared its end, with Celtic firmly in control and the fans basking in the glow of a guaranteed victory, the Green Brigade decided to make their presence felt in their own way.

Despite the chill in the air, many in the group took off their tops, jumping around and chanting in full voice, backing their team to the end.

During a recent Celtic’s 3-1 win over Motherwell, a moment of contention arose that could have potentially altered the course of the game, with the score level at 1-1 at the time of the incident.

25th February 2024; Fir Park, Motherwell, Scotland; Scottish Premiership Football, Motherwell versus Celtic; Referee Willie Collum

As Celtic pressed forward, an incident involving Yang driving into the box and unleashing a shot that struck the arm of Davor Zdravkovski sparked debate.

Chris Sutton expressed his surprise at the match officials’ decision not to review the incident more thoroughly. “I’m really surprised they haven’t sent Willie Collum to the monitor there,” Sutton remarked live on Sky Sports. He pointed out that Zdravkovski’s arm appeared to be “outside of his silhouette,” a key factor in penalty decisions relating to handball incidents under current football laws.

The incident underwent a quick VAR check, but Gavin Duncan, the VAR official, did not see enough evidence to instruct referee Willie Collum to review the play on the pitchside monitor. This decision left many wondering if Celtic had been denied a clear opportunity to gain an advantage.

Have a look at the in incident <a href="http://<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">🗣️ &quot;I'm really surprised they haven't sent Willie Collum to the monitor there.&quot;<br><br>Celtic wanted a penalty for this incident.

However, the decision not to award a penalty might stand on firmer ground than initially thought. The considerations of the speed of the ball and the proximity of Zdravkovski to Yang at the moment of the shot are crucial.

In a troubling incident that unfolded during Celtic’s victory clash against Hibernian on Wednesday night, the dangers of pyrotechnics at football matches were brought into sharp focus. A video that has since gone viral captures a moment of sheer panic – a Celtic fan’s hair igniting from a stray flame amidst a pyrotechnic display in the stands.

Pyrotechnics, or ‘pyro’, have long been a contentious issue within the realm of football. Authorities and clubs alike have pleaded with fans to refrain from using them, citing “very real safety issues”. Despite these warnings, the allure of adding a visual spectacle to the fan experience continues to tempt some, often with little regard for the potential consequences.

The incident in question occurred as Celtic fans welcomed their team onto the pitch with a pyro display that, while visually striking, quickly turned hazardous. The stand was enveloped in smoke, reducing visibility. Amidst the chaos, a loose flame found its way onto the head of an unsuspecting fan. The video shows the fan frantically trying to extinguish the fire, a stark testament to the immediate danger posed by the indiscriminate use of pyrotechnics in densely packed stands.

7th February 2024; Easter Road, Edinburgh, Scotland: Scottish Premiership Football, Hibernian versus Celtic; Adam Idah of Celtic celebrates with Matt ORiley of Celtic and Anthony Ralston of Celtic after he scores from the penalty spot to make it 2-1 in the 92nd minute after a VAR check

This incident transcends the boundaries of club loyalties and opens up a broader conversation about fan safety and the role that supporters play in creating a secure environment for everyone in attendance.

07.02.2024🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Celtic at Hibs https://t.co/Fjy3xrlEmQ pic.twitter.com/2G3V1Ig7VG

While the visual appeal of pyrotechnics cannot be denied, this incident forces us to confront the question: Is the spectacle worth the risk? The potential for harm, as evidenced by Wednesday night’s events, cannot be overstated. Football is a sport that thrives on passion, but that passion should never compromise the safety of those in attendance.

We welcome your thoughts and opinions on this matter. Is Pyro worth it?
