CCV Sends Out Celtic Rallying Cry and Admits Bhoys Need To Be Flawless

Celtic centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers has admitted that the Hoops need to be flawless between now and the end of the season if they are to achieve their goals.

The 26-year-old kickstarted a rampaging 7-1 win over Dundee on Wednesday with a header inside the first six minutes. It felt like a cornerstone victory for The Bhoys who were intense throughout the 90.

Fans haven’t seen a performance like it for months upon months, and Carter-Vickers knows that when he and his teammates play as they did a few days ago, the supporters will be fully behind them: “It’s up to us as players to get [the fans] on our side and get them going like we did against Dundee”, he said (Glasgow Times).

“When we do that, we know they’ll be right behind us which, of course, helps.”

Although the American internationalist is keen to utilise the backing from the Parkhead faithful to spur the team on, there will be less than 600 Celtic supporters inside Tynecastle this weekend.

Celtic did win 4-1 in Gorgie earlier in the campaign and a similar result is required this time around to carry on the current momentum.

Not just on Sunday, but from every game between now and the end of the season, Carter-Vickers says his team must come away victorious: “We’ve 10 games left plus Scottish Cup games”, quipped the defender.

“Our aim is to win all the games we play. If we want to achieve what we want this season, then we have to do that. We’re fully focused on that.”
