Celtic are known worldwide, with the club’s fanbase spanning across the globe. The majority of supporters are from Scotland, but Ireland is chock-full of fanatical Bhoys.
Indeed, GAA star David Clifford recently spoke about his adoration for the Hoops as he recalled the memories he has of following the club growing up.
Clifford, who previously met with Ange Postecoglou and more recently Brendan Rodgers, spoke out on The Football Pod: “Our Father was a Celtic fan”, he said.
“We went over there with neighbours from home and stuff like that.”
The 25-year-old hails from Tralee. He supported the Hoops as a youngster and travelled to Glasgow for Celtic’s 4-0 win over Rangers last season.

Clifford seems to bring with him good fortune when he visits Parkhead because earlier in the current campaign, he met with gaffer Rodgers following a 2-0 victory against Livingston in the league.
His fellow countryman Liam Scales got on the scoresheet that day, but it is in Europe where the Kerry player recalls following The Bhoys growing up.
Celtic have had many famous European nights. Clifford particularly remembers one versus a certain English side: “The first Celtic memories I have are, I would say, do you remember when Nakamura scored the free-kick against United?”, he said.
“That’s kind of where, I really, got Celtic and followed on from there.”
