Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is aware of the reason behind Celtic’s lacklustre displays this season.
Speaking after the game, the Irishman highlighted injuries as a reason for Celtic’s poor display against Livingston this afternoon.
Rodgers said: (Viaplay), “I know what it is. If you are missing the level of players that we miss, then the football won’t smile the same.
“Once we get those players back, then I’m pretty sure the level of performance will increase.”

With Cameron Carter-Vickers, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and Luis Palma all missing the game through injury, Celtic were without arguably four first-team starters.
Ultimately, results win games, and Celtic eventually came away victorious. However, for spells of the game, the Hoops failed to impress, with errors from Stephen Welsh and Matt O’Riley leading to Livingston goals.
There were positives from the game, such as Daizen Maeda’s hat-trick and Daniel Kelly yet again coming off the bench.
However, if Celtic are to retain the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup, they must improve upon today’s display.
With one more game before the international break against St. Johnstone next Saturday at Celtic Park, it may have come at the right time for Celtic.
