Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley has earned a place in the latest FC24, previously known as FIFA, Team of the Week.
The 23-year-old was chosen as one of 18 players worldwide that stood out over the past seven days. His performance at home to Dundee last Wednesday where he scored one and assisted two is likely why he was given such acclaim.
O’Riley set up Cameron Carter-Vickers to open the scoring early doors before netting with a wonderful diving header to make it 3-0 to Celtic within the opening 22 minutes. He then played it into Daizen Maeda for the Hoops’ fourth.

It was a standout display from the Danish internationalist who was named in a star-studded FC24 lineup alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Phil Foden, and Victor Osimhen:
The battles for the top of the table are reaching a fever pitch.

Not just against Dundee but in 2023/24 as a whole, the 23-year-old has been a cut above. Atletico Madrid’s interest in O’Riley in January came as no surprise.
Although his form dropped off after said reports came about, he upped his game against Dundee. He was rightly recognised for his notable display.
