Officials Confirmed For Celtic v Kilmarnock; Beaton is Back

Celtic will be eager to continue with their winning form on Saturday afternoon when Kilmarnock come to Parkhead. Amid the current climate in Scotland’s top flight, securing three league points every week is invaluable.

Although the Hoops have won eight out of their previous nine, Killie come into the game in a prodigious run themselves having lost just once since the beginning of December, and that was at Ibrox. Since then, they have remained undefeated in five.

Derek McInnes’ side have done the double over the Hoops this campaign already, but the champions did defeat the Rugby Park side by three goals to one back in October. A similar result would be greatly welcomed this time around by the home fans.

The match kicks off at 3 pm and for it, John Beaton has been confirmed as the referee. This is the first Celtic game he will take charge of in two months.

Calum Spence and David Dunne will run the lines while Peter Stuart is the fourth official. Willie Collum returns to the VAR room for this one after making some controversial decisions at Ibrox on Saturday night that were criticised by ex-Hoops skipper Scott Brown. He will be assisted by Dougie Potter.

Hopefully, the officials can do their job correctly this weekend and there is no post-match controversy surrounding any poor decisions that may be made.
