Since joining Celtic from K-League side Gangwon FC last summer, winger Yang has failed to hit the ground running. Adjusting to a whole new country and learning a new language has proved understandably arduous for the wideman.
Still just 21 years of age, Yang has made 23 appearances for the Hoops this campaign. He has scored one goal and assisted as many, with his performances proving somewhat inconsistent.

He recently returned from the Asian Cup, providing manager Brendan Rodgers with an added option on the wings. The gaffer is optimistic about Yang’s potential, and Mark Wilson backed up those claims.
Speaking on Thursday’s Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, the ex-Celtic right-back revealed that he was encouraged by his cameo against St. Mirren last Sunday and that he could prove to play a part in the closing stages of the season: “Yang looked lively”, he said.
“(With) more game time and knowing the league a wee bit better in this final run-in, will that serve him well?”
Celtic do have a plethora of wingers currently at the club and Yang is in no way a first-choice option, but if he can find consistency and improve certain parts of his game, then he could turn into a key player.
