Celtic’s appeal against Hyun-Jun Yang’s red card was dismissed on Tuesday night after a fast-track hearing.

The SFA’s decision to uphold Yang’s suspension for the next two matches has not only disappointed Celtic but has also stirred debate about the competence of the officials involved, Don Robertson and John Beaton.
The Sun reports Celtic’s astonishment at the appeal’s rejection, particularly contesting the nature of the incident involving Yang. The club maintains it was a tackle that lacked excessive force.
The club have not received an explanation for the dismissal of their claim, however, they expect an explanation in writing shortly.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers showed his frustrations after the game, personally naming VAR operator John Beaton. He felt that the game had been re-refereed by VAR, after Don Robertson had dealt with the incident on the pitch, giving a yellow card.
It wasn’t the only frustrating decision of the afternoon for Celtic, with Tomoki Iwata’s alleged handball gifting Hearts a penalty. The only man on planet earth who thought that was a penalty was Beaton on VAR.
