Brendan Rodgers has addressed Cameron Carter-Vickers’ absence from the Celtic squad against Livingston this afternoon.
With Carter-Vickers only recently recovering from an injury setback, it appears that the Celtic defender may have had yet another injury setback.

Rodgers said: (Celtic TV), “Just precaution, really. We managed him the last couple of weeks, and he got through a full 90 minutes last weekend. He just felt a little something yesterday in training, and it was only a really, really light session.
“But we didn’t want to take any risks with him. We’ve got other players that could come in and play, so as a precaution, we take him out. We just scan the area, and hopefully, he’ll be okay.”
The scan will undoubtedly reveal the extent of the injury suffered, and with Celtic now in the business end of the season, Rodgers will be desperate that Carter-Vickers won’t be out for any extended period of time.
However, with the international break in a fortnight, it may be that the American defender has just enough time to recover.
Carter-Vickers’ impact on the starting 11 is immense, and the Hoops simply do not look like the same team in his absence.
With Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and Luis Palma already out injured, Celtic are beginning to rack up a list of injured players at the wrong time of the season.
