Celtic secured their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup yesterday with a 4-2 victory over Livingston at Parkhead. It wasn’t a vintage performance from the Hoops, but it remained effective enough to see them through.
In cup football, winning is all that matters although manager Brendan Rodgers knows displays have to be of a high level, too.

The football played perhaps wasn’t of the best standard on Sunday, but full focus for the Celts now goes onto the draw for the semi-finals, which takes place tonight – Monday 11th March.
It will be live on BBC Scotland following their coverage of the last of the quarter-final ties between Morton and Hearts at Cappielow which kicks off at 7.45 pm.
In the semis, The Bhoys could face Aberdeen, Rangers, or the winner of Morton v Hearts. It will be the first trip to Hampden this season for Celtic, with the last four ties scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 20th and 21st of April.
Brendan Rodgers is yet to lose a game in the Scottish Cup. The gaffer has no plans of dropping such an impeccable record before the season’s end.
No matter who Celtic gets in the draw this evening, they will maintain their realistic ambition of returning to Hampden once again in May for the showpiece final.
