Brendan Rodgers reaffirmed his belief in Adam Idah after the Irishman’s double led Celtic to a crucial 2-1 victory.
With Celtic drawing 1-1 in stoppage time, Idah stepped up when it mattered most after giving the Hoops the lead 10 minutes into the game from the penalty spot.

Rodgers said (BBC Scotland): “He showed great composure. He’s scored penalties at the very highest level. That’s why we put him on them. Great night for him.”
Rodgers continues to speak positively about Idah. After much being made about the last-minute nature of his signing, Idah has the manager’s backing.
With his double tonight, the Irishman showed the Celtic faithful what he is made of in an incredible first start for the club.
In just under a week at the club, Idah already has an assist and a penalty double in two games, he has clearly gotten off to the perfect start to life in Glasgow.
With Celtic facing St Mirren on Sunday, the Irish striker will be desperate to start in Paisley and continue this hot streak of form for the Bhoys.
